I read 347 books in 2022. There were a lot of audiobooks (which I tend to listen to at 2x speed or more depending upon the narrator) which included numerous rereads. Also to be fair I read/reread a number of novellas. But that's the most I've read since 2014.
I finished Leslye Penelope's backlist except for the Kickstarter project she was part of. I'm waiting to see if she eventually releases her story as a stand-alone. If not I will eventually track down a copy of Three Time-Travelers Walk Into... (but it is pricey and I really only plan to read her story, so I can be patient).
My big goal this year was to completely finish reading Nora Roberts' backlist. I had 16 older books (mostly old categories, but also the Circle trilogy and the more recent Chronicles of the One trilogy). So I have now read all 205 of her books, novellas, and short stories as well as everything she's written as JD Robb.
I also made a big dent in Lindsay Buroker's backlist this year. My big goal for 2023 is to finish her entire backlist.
I also plan to read more of those Harlequin category books, etc I purchased during that big sale a while back. I say that every year and only read a few. I plan to incorporate some of the ones by favorite authors that I already read many moons ago in print. Many of them are no longer publishing so thought it would be a good way to revisit the stories.
(I should note a lot of the time the reason I only read a few is because the scanning errors are atrocious so I fix a few then give up.)
How was your 2022 reading wise?
