The vacuum broke today, so I have it apart in pieces on the lawn (where the cats can't pee on it, of course). The doctor told me yesterday that I can (finally) start doing some heavy lifting and cleaning (although they now want me to have an MRI of the wrist), so I've started getting SIX WEEKS of cat hair and vomit off the floors.

I told the dishwasher guy that I was sorely tempted just to light a match, torch the place and just start the hell over. However, I don't think the cats would appreciate that approach. So, I've got a heavy-duty steam gun, and the wet vac .... and I'm just blasting the stuff off.

That sounds....oddly gratifying
