Left out the "simultaneously" in my comment. Thank you for clarifying the point.

My suspicion is that many will be happy with the book cover mode, which makes the hack an unnecessary complication. I use the hack in cover mode on an older Kindle running early firmware, but I use the native cover mode on a new Kindle with 5.14.2 firmware.
