Update: I installed Kindle for PC and got the dictionary from there. It's in .mobi format though. Does it matter?

I deleted the 2nd edition from my kindle and just copied the 3rd edition to the same directory. So far it seems to be working.
I installed Kindle for PC, but I cannot find the dictionary. Where did you find it?
