Are these books downloaded from Amazon or sideloaded?

If the first:
1. Download the books from Amazon to your new Kindle, or
2. Download the books from Amazon to your PC (using the option "Download and transfer via USB" with your new Kindle as the target) and sideload them to your second Kindle, or
3. Download the books from Amazon to your PC, remove the DRM and sideload to your new Kindle.

No direct copying between two Kindles or between a Kindle device and Calibre is possible, if the books are direct purchases from Amazon.

If the second:
1. Copy the books on your first Kindle over to your PC and from there to your new Kindle. No Calibre needed. Or
2. Connect your first Kindle to Calibre. Calibre checks the books on your Kindle and marks them with a green tick. Tag the ticked books with whatever tag you like. Then connect your new Kindle to Calibre and send the books you just tagged to the new Kindle.
