Yes, indeed it is annoying
. It got so frustrating I went through the unlock device procedure (UT) and now can sideload at leisure without going through the setup each time.
I keep vast amounts of documents and books on a sideload for work so need to swap them often depending on days processes. Having to go through a complete reset each time is just not useful.
It almost, seems to be getting to the stage of no longer trusting the updates as it is making Kobo eReader usage harder and narrower. Having several eReaders does help, however...
