I watched about 20 minutes of the first episode last night and got bored, but I shall persevere. That’s not the death knell; I frequently split a Father Brown over two nights and they’re only 45 minutes each.
But what was amazing to me that I’d forgotten was how very much the actor who played Sydney looked like Rupert Brooke. Separated at birth level. And it surely was intentional, as one of Brooke’s most famous poems was
The Old Vicarage, Grantchester.
