On my Kobo that I have KOReader and Plato installed on, I use NickelMenu to launch them. There was no issue installing since I used the
One-Click Install Packages for KOReader & Plato to do the install and then customized the NickelMenu config file to add the extra items I wanted such as:

Everybody needs to know how much memory their Kobo is using, don't they?
