Well, today I took the biggest step in 2-1/2 years - I've been working from home with now occasional forays into the office in person - where masking indoors is now optional but I always masked.
Today was the retirement party of a beloved fellow employee - which I attended - which brought in other retirees that I haven't seen in years. There was so much hugging I deemed masking useless. I'm fullly boostered. This was the first indoor event I attended unmasked since 2020. All were asymptomatic. Most had had omicron. It was marvelous to see smiles again.
