You are not going to be able to remove DRM from a book that was downloaded in KFX format using Kindle for PC version 1.28. That version of K4PC uses a form of DRM that the DeDRM plugin cannot handle.

There are solutions that will work to be able to import that book. The easiest is to disable KFX format in Kindle for PC and download the book again. See Method 2 in the post Dealing with Kindle for PC/Mac 1.19 (and later) and KFX in calibre. (Use the alternate method that works with more recent versions of Kindle for PC linked in the second paragraph.)
