Why have to remove code when there's an easy way to get the eBooks without this extra code? If you want them as KePub on a Kobo, that's easy to do. If you don't want them as KePub, then that's already done.

It just doesn't make sense to go for KePub. ITts well known that ePub is currently the best archive format for eBooks.
