It doesn't really matter how the book gets on the device. How each format is rendered has its own peculiarities. And relies on what is in the book. Which means if the book sets a font size, that is what you will see.

Exactly how small is to big? From your screenshot, I would have to set the fonts size to about a quarter of the way along the font size from the left. And the minimum size is still readable, but, not practical for me to use. I am doing this on an Aura ONE, but, the differences are minimal.

But, what firmware version do you have? As I said, there have been changes in how it works, but, there should minimal visible changes. There might have been something in one of the released versions that was a little different, but, it was either a version specific to one of the new devices, or short-lived.

The renderer for Pocket articles is probably based on the kepub render. I think the font sizing matches, but, in both cases, it can be changed by what is in the book/article.
