Right-click the preferences button and it is on the menu. It restarts calibre and shows a message about the log. When you close calibre it should show the log.

Can you post a link to wherever it is? If there is a preview, that can give me an idea of what is happening.
An alternative is to use the ScrambleEbook plugin to create a version you can post.

That should have plenty of resources available. Hopefully the debug log will tell me how many it is handling. Though it could be an issue with resource from the previous steps not being cleaned up fully.
