Too pessimistic.
In countries which eventually have a high enough vaccination rate, COVID will become rare. In such countries, you can look on vaccine refusers as freeloaders who get most of the benefit without taking on the tiny vaccine risk.
Now, the U.S. may have too many refusers for COVID to die out. But I predict it will eventually become rare in most of the world.
