but: I have a dual boot Windows/Linux since many Years and I have never had any problem. And when I don't use my PC it is off.
But the situation of the OP is different: so if he only wants to read these books He can try if it exist a Android app that handle ACSM or install the Kindle app.
If He wants also to import the books in calibre he needs a way to get rid of DRM: or Wine and ADE or a old kindle eink (not a Fire) for a lesser price as possible to register.
