I wonder if that means that they will release it at the same time they upgrade their Android 6 devices to Android 8 or 9...
Actually, I am now pretty confident that we will see the V3 update offered to the first generation of Android 6 devices since people are reporting that the new version of the note app and the reader app work reasonably well on such devices and since some people seem to be beta testing the new firmware.
As for the long-promised upgrade to a newer version of Android, I don't expect that will ever happen no matter how patient one is.
