Roku works great and so does the sound and picture quality. Overall, have been very pleased with both of them and wouldn't hesitate to buy another one when needed.

(The TV had two feet that attached on either end, which is common on HDTVs of all brands nowadays, he needed a center-mount stand instead. There was nothing physically wrong with the stand that came with the TV.)
On the other hand, I bought a 55" 120hz TCL HDTV back in 2012 from Amazon. It arrived without all the parts needed for the stand, which was center-mount. Amazon offered me three options: return it for a full refund; have it replaced, which would require another special delivery (they didn't ship larger TVs via normal shippers at the time); or take a partial refund (20% of price) and keep the TV. I took the refund, figuring I could get the part needed under warranty easily enough

Thanks to both of you. I'm thinking that a 2012 experience might not necessarily be indicative anymore (though I still hold a grudge against LG for a bad TV from around that time!). I didn't know that it was possible to change stands; never really thought about it.
I'm eyeing the
TCL from Walmart that goes on sale for $148 on November 11. It's so cheap that it's hard to resist; it's also so cheap that it's hard to believe it's any good!
