Thank you. I am keeping down a little bit of solid food, but I am staying on my back as much as possible today. I made it over to Teresa's house and let her dogs out (while I lay down on the back porch). That went well.
I found someone to walk the doggies tonight, so all I will have to get through is feeding the cats their dinner. The litter boxes I can clean one at a time so I don't need to be up for very long. Five minutes is about all I can do standing and then my guts feel like I've got a red hot bowling ball in there. It's the oddest thing .... lying down there is no pain at all .... stand up for a few minutes and WHAP! Honestly, I've never heard of something like this.
All I heard about my neighbor is that she had onset of symptoms about four hours after eating (she wasn't at the same party -- she ate at a restaurant) and thought it was food poisoning as well. I don't know if she had this weird-ass stand up and wish you were dead stuff on day two.
In any event, I figure it's all for the best. I needed to find someone who could walk the doggies when I'm traveling on business. Nelda hasn't been able to since she had her knee surgery, and it's expensive boarding the girls every time I travel. Even if I keep Nelda to feed the cats and pay this young lady to walk the dogs, I still end up on the plus side.
I'm going to do a little research on noroviruses .... I've been a bit out of the loop for the past few years.
