True, but you know, I did that with the Philo Vances from DP-Oz and that was annoying, too--whomever did the formatting put footnotes IN TABLES! Gadzooks. Tables?

Which I did. I mean...it was $1.00, but that's not the point, is it? And here's the teeth-grinding part--the "formatted" version of the same book is FOUR BUCKS. I mean. Doc Savage? Which is what, 80 years old now? (sigh).
Both versions (forget Conde Nast!), are the DP versions. One's been somewhat cleaned, the other not at all with block-style paragraphs, no space between which always makes me wince.
The other
small problem with them is that it doesn't have today's enhanced formatting (a fancy term for what is basically AI-hyphenation) and it's noticeable, once you're used to the EF.
More sighing. Who knew that Doc Savage, poor lad, would cause me so much irritation this weekend?
