I've changed your membership status to give you access to Private Messages and (I think) increase your posting quota.
The Kindle will download the dictionary when you first try to use it, so you will need to be on-line to allow the dictionary to download.
There are two versions of the Kindle PW4.
One has only WiFi, the other has both WiFi and a subscription-free Mobile Data connection to access the Amazon servers over cell towers.
If you can make a WiFi hotspot with your phone, the more expensive one with mobile data probably isn't worth the extra to you.
You can download books from Amazon directly to the Kindle over WiFi, or you can connect the Kindle to your computer by USB and copy books onto it manually or using calibre.
You can delete books from the Kindle without the Kindle being connected.
If you want to read the same book sometimes on your kindle and sometimes on your phone, the last read position will only be transferred if the Kindle is connected to WiFi.
