I would not even do that. If something was to go wrong on Dropbox, then that screw up would be transferred back to the working library.

If the program used to sync to Dropbox has an option to out go one way then use that so any changes on Dropbox will not be synced back tot he computer. Just have any changes on the computer sync to Dropbox.
