MMh, I don't know, it's very hard for me to believe that this syncronization corrupted my library since is running from the very beginning of it all. I never had problems in that sense, it just slowed the metadata saving a bit.
About the Calibre/Dropbox sinergy, well – I must say that actually I didn't know this forum back in those days, and my searches were very generic, but I started to consider the idea to put everything on Dropbox after reading about it on many- many websites. If you search for Calibre - Dropbox, at least from what I can see, on my Italian Google Search, you won't find any particular warning about using them together. But, still, I guess I will just make some backup

And it'll work fine. I repaired the library , if I'll have problems like this again I'll just reduce considerably calibre plugins, because maybe they are too many and in every dialog message appears every installed plugin.
