To add insult, only my Tablet is Timezone aware. All the rest are simply dumb Clock -Calendars .
I guess we could 'assume' the the date-timezone (on the device) is the same as Displayed on the PC, and make correct the saved value.

Maybe the driver could have-store a 'device is TZ aware' T/F that others could retrieve for use with their PI
