It seems that there is some temporary condition.
I installed the version that you attached. I removed "Default" list (so two lists remained). Right after it, the menu became reduced but still had expected options (like plus).
I removed another list (so only one list remained). As expected, options like plus disappeared from the menu.
I added one reading list back. The options like plus did not appear! I added the third list - all expected option were back.
So I started removing and adding lists. No luck, the plus appears when there are at least three lists.
In the case of two lists, the plus was there right after the new version was installed.
