@Guns4Hire as has been said, the part of the screen that can break is the glass substrate and that's behind the screen. A glass screen protector or any screen protector will not protect the glass substrate. So buying a screen protector won't d anything useful and will only be a waste of money and it can cause clarity issues sometimes.
