Overdrive integration apply to an account...?

... or to a particular reader? It seems like I remember reading that, if you had one Kobo that supported Overdrive integration you could use any older (no Overdrive integration support) Kobo on the same account. Or maybe that was false information (or maybe my memory is gone). I tried to find the threads that talked about this but I couldn't.

The reason I ask is I'm curious if I had a nice original Kobo Aura HD (for example, which has no Overdrive integration) and found a cheap Kobo Aura Edition 2 (which does have Overdrive integration) -- could you set up the Overdrive account with the Aura and borrow with the HD? That doesn't seem right, but it was what I think I remember reading.

(Hope this makes some sense and isn't too redundant.)
