I provided more than one, upthread. What you're missing in your posts is the understanding that ADE pages aren't useful for you. More than one of us have said they're useful for us, but according to you, we're wrong. They can't possibly be.

Here are some of my practical use cases for ADE numbers:
  • They let me switch between devices easily when the devices didn't sync.
  • They're a consistent enumeration across books, which means that I can estimate for myself how much longer a book will take, especially useful when reading nonfiction, when Kobo's time estimates include all the back matter, which will not be read.
  • They let me look at the books on my device and have a sense of how long they are. Just yesterday I bumped up against this; I was looking for a shorter novel but how to tell? File size isn't consistent with book length.

As of now, I'm finding several things I miss in this update and nothing I like better. But I rely on direct downloading of Kobo purchases and library borrows, so I'm stuck. (I'm not one to patch. I don't see why I should have to, to regain lost functionality.)
