@davidfor: Yeah, bad news, the Account sign out process simply wipes the .kobo folder, so, yep, not a viable location in my book :/.


Random tidbit: I *assume* macOS resource forks (._*) are ignored, but that doesn't apply to directories ;p (Hey, it was worth a try ;p).

This is indeed going to be a genuine issue w/ the various .Trash* folders used in *nix/macOS land, though...

(And, yeah, the "Library lives in a subfolder" approach was the one taken by Amazon on Kindles: USB storage is @ /mnt/us, Library lives in /mnt/us/documents).
