Ok, so this is kind of strange,

I rolled back to 3.44 and initially I found no problems. Books were converting no problem.

However, I ran into something strange converting larger merged into mobi files that I have never encountered before, even when converting the same style of books. According to Calibre a merged book will successfully convert to mobi, but when I open it up, only the cover is there.

The file is the size it should be, but it's as if I only converted the cover and the rest of the book is missing. Even the side slide bar indicates that it's just the cover. However, if I upload it to my Kindle, I get a proper book as it should be.

I haven't figured out what causes it, but it seems to only happen to epub merged books, and I suspect but haven't checked it out, but those books that were merged were edited to the point that there was nothing but the text of the book and the title page. I deleted all the other parts of a book that add extra bulk. I only just this moment came to this possible reason.

I did do a couple of quick merges of random "virgin" epubs which converted fine. So, make of it what you will.

Other than that, no problems.
