Fortunately for them they're switching over to metric. I hate imperial measurements.

The one that really made me roll my eyes is when I ordered from amazon a teapot and it was listed as 6 cups I think. When I got it I thought there's no way it could hold 6 cups. Further investigation revealed that for a teapot the "cup" is a teacup, which is 6 ounces, not 8.

Metric is so much easier because everything is just a number, and to make it easier 1000 milliliters of water (a liter) weighs 1000 grams, a 1-to-1 correspondence.
