Except that you don't take the frequency used into account. Kobo is using 1KHz. If you can find any suggestion anywhere (beyond forum discussions) that PWM around this frequency can be a problem, please point them out. The highest frequency that I have seen any suggestions of issues is 400Hz. And even that seemed to be picking a number double where effects had been noticed.
