All that I know is that the Crockett one has been reprinted numerous times. I don't know, off the top of my head, of
any other Sam./Kings/Chron. harmony that has been reproduced at all, although it sounds like you might know of one or more. As to whether or not the exclusive or near-exclusive reprint of Crockett signifies that there is some advantage to the Crockett edition or not, I don't know. However, I didn't see any other editions available on
