Minor nit, the light on an eInk display is a front light. The display itself is opaque.
Getting an average of the ebooks in my collection, less that 1MB. I have several that are heavy in graphics (cookbooks with their high res images for each recipe, for example).
The Best and the Lightest from the Food Network clocks in at 367MB with a group of others not far behind.
