I didn't realize I only posted the resolution in the other Likebook Mimas thread --https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...&postcount=157

I bought a USB C to USB A cable at Best Buy and it worked great. It fit much better (the plugs actually went all the way in) and my Windows 7 PC immediately installed the appropriate drivers.

I wasted so much time trying to find a solution and then a workaround for getting my files on the device before realizing the cable included with the device is defective.
