Recently finished Solo: A Star Wars Story by Mur Lafferty. It has some amusing/redeeming moments, and I think Lafferty does an admirable job with what she's been given (she's the primary reason I gave the book a shot - I'm not a huge Star Wars fan truth be told), but make no mistake about it: this entire story is basically the delivery vehicle for a canon "explanation" behind the now famous "made the Kessel run in 12 parsecs" goof from the original movie. It would have been much easier to just admit the mistake in my opinion.

Lando's cape fetish and "product" addiction is great fun, though. I've not seen the film, but I could practically see Donald Glover performing the part in my head.

I liked some things; and didn't really dislike anything. So that's on the positive side of "meh" for an overall rating (based on my personal and highly subjective scale).

Now starting Eric Idle's sortabiographical Always Look on the Bright Side of Life.
