As @theducks said, the default add templates are unlikely to cause this problem. Someone may have done it for you, or, you might have done it inadvertently. The template in question is on the "Adding books" page of the preferences in the "Regular expression" field about halfway down. If you copy and post that, it should help us work out what is wrong.
Also, how exactly do you see the error? Is it an error dialog, or displayed somewhere else? If it is an error dialog, there is probably a "Details" and "Copy" button at the bottom. The "Details" button will usually show more details of the error. This will usually give more idea about where the error is happening and why. The "Copy" will copy the full details to the clipboard. Use that to post the full error so that we can see it.
