I don't know about bio's but if you are talking about a catalog of a given author's works in Calibre go to Convert books> Create a catalog and you are given a menu of options for creating a catalog of the works, images of the book covers, etc. in several formats. I do agree that you will get more, probably more detailed answers in the Calibre forum though too.
