Several years ago, I jailbroke my Kindle Voyage. After upgrading to a newer model, I stopped using it for a while, but have recently wanted to bring it back into my e-reading rotation. I just checked the firmware, and it's currently running 5.6.5 (which now that I'm used to the UI changes from the last few years, feels pretty dated).
My question is: how far up the firmware ladder can I upgrade my Kindle Voyage without losing my jailbreak? And what is the best way to do so?
What makes this tricky is that since it was a few years ago, I don't remember which jailbreaking method I used (it may have been the 5.6.5-exclusive method instead of the one in this thread). Is there a way to check? Apologies if this isn't the right thread -- please redirect me if this is the wrong place to ask!
