that's my understanding too. of the 6.5GB storage that is left only 1GB is available for sideloaded content, which obviously isn't very good but of course you do have the extra hardware of the physical page turn buttons.
it all depends on what the individuals/users top priorities are. for me none of the new ereaders from any of the companies be it Kindle, Kobo, Nook or whoever have brought out a device/model that i consider to be better than my Original Aura that bought back in 2014. and yes i do realise that i might be in the minority here but eh i don't mind
