When she can have liquid morphine she gets some relief but at other times she is in terrible pain. She can't drink any more either so water is given by a sponge on a stick so that she can moisten her mouth. It is rough having to see her suffer like she is. Her sister (my aunt Kathy) and one of her daughters (my cousin Barbara) came up to see her today. I called her yesterday to let her know how poorly mom was doing. I wanted for her to have a chance to see mom and say good bye. They hadn't seen each other for a long time as we have no car and my aunt has health problems as well and so can't travel by herself.
