Unless you have disabled A/V updates [really, a very bad idea], some of these can change daily.

Your settings might stay the same...But the what x does with them, changes. Your ISP might push a security patch to your router (Mine did last week, and it died )

Also, are you trying a WiFi to WiFi connection? Be sure your choice is still permitted by your sys admin. eg. My laptop does not allow 'Peer' connections. I must use an 'Infrastructure' (access point/router). The A/P must allow connections between peers.
can you 'ping' your host IP from any other device on the LOCAL network?
