What happens if i patch the firmware again (i think i enabled the patch that turns off auto updates, maybe that is the problem). Do i need to uninstall KSM?

There is no need to uninstall KSM in order to patch the firmware. If I remember correctly, the patch that turns off auto updates does nothing but pretending that the device has already installed a higher firmware version than the one available. So this should not prevent nickel from connecting to wifi.
The other point is that the KSM wifi enable function is not changed by the patch. So the problem should be somewhere else.
What does happen, when you select "wifi > "wifi enable dhcp.sh" in KSM? Is there a note that two modules have been loaded? I am asking to exclude possible sources of error.
