Oh! A pickled finish is a misnomer. It is a whitish color added in a transparent finish to give the end result a resemblance to the old pickle barrels of lore. The salt preserving the pickled cucumbers
bleached the wooden barrels white right through. An other way to bleach wood to white is to use peroxyde when the wood is raw. Hair treatment peroxyde works, but use the m orepowerful hair salon versions.
