Friday hubby woke up in intense pain. He couldn't sit, he couldn't lay, he couldn't eat, and he couldn't keep anything down. He was miserable. He literally walked this 400sq foot apartment for 13 hours. After googling when he finally could talk to me we figured out it must be a kidney stone. It had all the classic symptoms. This process repeated itself over and over till yesterday late at night he started feeling better without the pain medication. We had found taking Motrin helped him be able to lay and sleep and sit some but he would pace the floors mostly. The pain started in his right back flank then a day later move to the right side and down. It's been hell yes I'm saying it because hockey sticks can't describe what we went through. Fast forward till this morning he was doing better suddenly. The pain was now in the bladder area and he had urges. He was able to go out and do a little shopping so we could eat on my birthday thanks to my mom sending a little money.

Fast forward to around five o'clock I hear sirens and think to myself that they are really close by. The next thing I know I hear a walkie talkie outside in my parking lot. I run to the window and there's an emergency response vehicle outside and here comes the ambulance. I watch them enter the downstairs apartment. So hubby and I are freaking out, watching hoping she is okay. I'm like why in my birthday is this happening. We wait and hope not knowing what it going on. They got the gurney out and out walks my neighbor. The nice one, she was able to walk and get on and was talking but she was fanning herself and it's not hot today. So a fever or maybe heart issues? So then after all that excitement hubby goes to the bathroom right after and ouch, there is blood and specs. Now I'm really concerned even though I read this can happen and it means either two things. One is normal with stones and the other is a complication. So I have him drink an ocean of water to keep flushing and the next visit to the loo out came the stone! We were both relieved, no pun intended. His digestive system kicked in not long after that and started processing everything from Thanksgiving and onward. This is a birthday I'll never forget. He seems to be back to normal and hungry. I thought gout was bad but this.... it's like nothing I want to go through again.

It sounds more like 3rd trip was when he was relieved.
