The Kindle Previewer only supports specific languages for Enhanced Typesetting (KFX format). From the Kindle Previewer page on Amazon:

Enhanced Typesetting features are supported for English, Chinese, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, Hindi, Gujarati, Marathi, Malayalam, Tamil and Arabic languages.
