For GPS (to be sure I was clear) I meant the positioning, not any collateral map serving. You are in the woods - or in any region of labyrintic paths, and/or, of course, no Internet -, you are supposed to have your device pre-populated with maps downloaded for offline use and, whenever you ask yourself "Now where am I", you hook up your telephone's GPS to the EPD tabled via BlueTooth, and get your positioning in the map.
By the way: you did not do it with the MaxCarta? That's a biiig map. ; )
By the way: I will probably publish my modifications to Mobac in the relevant thread. Download maps, and optimize them for EPD.

I understand but that's of course overkill: just setting the mapping software right will make your battery last months. Of course, with EPD, the more you go dynamic the more battery shortens - we pay all screen updates.
