Yep, it's an issue with the 2017.
In fact, I'm so certain it's an issue with every Kindle that I'd bet from any photo of any Kindle Oasis 2017, I can tell which side of the screen the buttons are on, even with the buttons not visible in the photo.
Maybe the Oasis 2018 will fix this, finally. There's no question Amazon's lighting system has improved over the years. They just need to really double down and perfect it, now. |
Yes, the whiter side are the buttons (right). The problem is that reading in the dark causes visual fatigue. It's a shame, I like this kindle very much.
