That used to be the case for us as well, but now about every third order is late. It's become so bad for my brother-in-law that he uses it to get free Prime every month. He just calls Amazon, complains about his package not being delivered on the guaranteed date and they offer to pay for a month of free Prime. If it happens twice in the same month, they give a $10 gift credit. (He lives in Colorado.) I'm not the the kind to do that, but he says I should be, it let's Amazon know you're not happy. A couple times I've bought appliance parts for more with Prime because I needed them quickly, only to get them delivered later than the non-Prime parts were scheduled to be delivered. It may be growing pains, but if they can't meet the two day delivery guarantee they need stop advertising that they can.
