In Paperwhite now there are 14 size variation & 5 boldeness levels.

So what does Font_Ramp do?
Increase Number of font variation that is making 14 to 20 like that?
Will it work on my Kindle Paperwhite 3 with 5.8.11 upgrade???
FONT_RAMP is a file used to re-define those default font sizes (8 in the past, now 14; so you can't change the number of steps), to have smaller steps between to adjacent option (and/or entirely eliminate those last couple of huge sizes).

Most people use it to fix the problem of "this size is too small but the next one is to big, I would like something in between". (for me #1 size is to small, #2 is bigger then I need, so I've made in-between size using FONT_RAMP)

Download the attachment from this post, unpack it and open that "FONT_RAMP" file with some text editor like Notepad++ (I would avoid using "Notepad" if you are Windows user... because of the "end of line" difference between Linux OS [which Kindle uses, and Kindle will be reading that FONT_RAMP file] and Windows OS) to study its contents.

You will see that it contains 14 float/decimal point numbers.

To read about how you can calculate the number read this post.

Keep in mind that FONT_RAMP font-size remapping only works for AZW3/KF8 books (so no old .mobi and no KFX books).
