Ah yeah those would probably fit in the space fine, especially if the intention is to have it nestled though the back cover so you can pop the adapter board right into them when needed.

First image shows where I was originally planning to try and put it (roughly), and in the second you can get an idea of how little space is there between the back of the display and the case itself (the back cover rests flush against that silver pad, might even depress it slightly).
